TM Network Connection Issue (In Progress)

Affecting Other - Maylaysia Network - Users Affected : All internet users who subscribe to Streamyx (ISP- Internet Ser | Priority - Critical

Problem Identified :

Please be informed that currently all users who using ISP Streamyx is having slow connection due to detected a cable fault on the Southeast Asia-Middle East-Western Europe 4 (SMW4) submarine cable network between Alexandria in Egypt and Palermo in Italy linking Malaysia to Europe and the United States (US). The consortium will be carrying out repair works on site on Saturday, 24 April 2010 and it is expected to be completed on Sunday, 2 May 2010.

During the restoration process, there will be some interruption to the traffic to Europe and the US carried through that cable. TM ISP is taking active steps to minimize disruptions; we have added additional links on other routes and coordinated with other international carriers in order to provide additional bandwidth for our customers.

Despite these initiatives, customers who using Internet services via ISP's Streamyx nationwide may experience some degree of service degradation such as slow browsing while accessing international websites. Customers using Virtual Private Network (VPN) and other critical business applications linked to Europe and the US will be assured minimal degradation of service, if any.

Deswegen kann es aktuell zu Problemen mit den Verbindungen zu dem IRC, dem Board, etc. kommen.

Aktuelle Downtime 12.02.2010

Wie ihr sicherlich schon bemerkt habt, ist Back2Hack momentan unerreichbar.
Grund dafür ist vor allem der MySQL-Server, der Probleme macht, sowie das Einrichten der SSL-Unterstützung, was jeweils
unter anderem auf ein defektes cPanel-Update zurückzuführen ist.
Da wir zeitgleich an der Fertigstellung des IRC-Servers gearbeitet haben, häuft sich
die To-Do-Liste gerade unangenehm stark an ;)
Seid aber versichert, dass wir mit Hochdruck an den Reparaturen arbeiten
und dann so schnell wie möglich SSL und den IRC-Server aktivieren werden.

Entschuldigt bitte die Downtime und schaut währenddessen doch einfach auf unserem IRC-Channel vorbei.

Kurzes Update :

- Der Server wurde neu aufgesetzt, wie ihr sicherlich schon mitbekommen habt.
- Backups müssen noch aufgespielt werden, was aktuell unser Hauptproblem ist.
